Back-end Developer - Part-time 24-32 hrs

Are you a Back-end Developer with NetSuite experience who enjoys working independently and further developing and stabilizing our systems?

 

At Biolegio and NimaGen, you don’t just write code. You also understand how software supports and keeps a production environment reliable. You analyze bottlenecks and translate needs into practical and reliable solutions. Your work makes a difference, because thanks to your solutions, colleagues can perform their work more smoothly and efficiently.

 

We are looking for a developer for two independently operating organizations within the same holding: Biolegio and NimaGen. Both use a single NetSuite environment. In your role as Back-end Developer, you ensure that these systems continue to function properly and keep evolving.

 

In your first year, you will:

  • Develop new functionalities within NetSuite
  • Stabilize and improve the existing system
  • Improve existing software and custom records
  • Maintain and expand integrations with external applications
  • Ensure that processes continue to function reliably

 

About Biolegio and NimaGen

Biolegio develops and produces synthetic DNA for research, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical applications.
NimaGen develops and supplies reagents and kits for molecular research, enabling laboratories and hospitals to detect and analyze diseases. The organizations are affiliated and provide products that are used worldwide in research and healthcare.

 

Both organizations consist of approximately 20 colleagues each. You will collaborate closely with Operations and R&D at NimaGen and with the Process Evaluation and Development department at Biolegio. Together, you will build and improve functionalities that have a direct impact on colleagues’ daily work.


Who are you?

In your role as a back-end developer, you are able to work independently and maintain a clear overview. You have a practical and analytical mindset. You identify opportunities for improvement, think in terms of possibilities, and translate these into concrete solutions. You collaborate with colleagues from different teams and take responsibility for your work.

 

What do you bring?

  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
  • Experience with back-end development
  • Programming experience, for example with JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL
  • Interest other programing languages like Python is an advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Knowledge of Dutch is a plus

 

Affinity with biology, DNA synthesis, or a production environment is a plus, but not required.

  • Salary starting at €3.200 (based on 40 hours/week), depending on experience
